Congratulations on making the decision to invest in yourself and your future career! We understand that making the decision to attend university is complex and that the financial commitment is a major factor. For most students, there’s a gap between educational costs and their available funding, so it’s important in the early stages of planning to be proactive, not reactive, and think about how you’re going to afford your education.
We want you to succeed, so we have information ready for you: Funding your RRU education: You've got options.
That interactive module includes:
- Suggested resources to help you with identifying your current costs as well as estimating costs you should consider as you’re planning for your time as a Royal Roads student. By law, members of the Financial Aid and Awards team are not permitted to provide financial advice to students, so if that’s a service you need, please seek out a professional financial advisor.
- Options to fund your education and living costs while you’re in your program, such as scholarships, bursaries, student loans, and suggestions for where else you can look for funding
- Tips for applying for awards
- Tips for setting yourself up for success as a RRU student, such as taking a blended two-year program that allows you to continue working while you’re a student instead of a full-time, compressed program.
If you’d prefer to receive the information as a video rather than a step-by-step process, please visit Funding your RRU education: Overview, which is a video presentation by Michael Brookhart, RRU’s Financial Aid and Awards Specialist. You can also find much more information in the Financial Aid & Awards at RRU guide, including Financial Aid & Awards FAQs.
