RRU Internal, In-Course, and Bursary Awards

Canada Graduate Research Scholarships

If you’re working on your application for a Canada Graduate Research Scholarship, such as SSHRC, NSERC, or CIHR, your application will be more complex and require a more detailed research proposal. Please see How to Write a Research Scholarship Proposal for helpful tips, as well as Answering the “So what?” in SSHRC applications: How to articulate the expected scholarly outcomes of your proposed research project. You can find more information and resources at Canada Graduate Research Scholarship – Masters Program and Canada Graduate Research Scholarships – Doctoral (CGRS-D) program

It is recommended that you work with a faculty member from your program area if you have questions about writing your proposal. If you have questions about research scholarship applications, please contact Research Scholarships as they’re the experts at RRU on the topic. While you’re writing your proposal, you’re welcome to use any of the Writing Centre’s online resources and FAQs to assist you. Please note that since the Writing Centre’s mandate doesn’t extend to research scholarship applications and the centre’s services do not include editing or reviewing draft works, staff won’t review draft documents to provide feedback.

We wish you success in your application!
